Dear fellow citizens,

many concerns that are important for the existence and further development of our society are shared by most people. Be it the commitment to climate protection, reliable social security systems, an excellent education system, a good infrastructure and much more.
On many issues, however, there are certainly conflicts of objectives, which it is legitimate to point out. In addition to the concerns shared by a large majority, however, there are also issues on which we as Free Democrats have a different view than many of our political competitors. These include, for example, a sound budget situation in public finances and a strong, competitive economy as the basis of our prosperity. Our ideal of a self-determined, self-reliant way of life is also not shared by everyone.
We as Free Democrats advocate identifying goals, priorities and time horizons through sensible weighing, so that the best possible result for the general public can be achieved with the limited resources that are available. This idea of efficiency ensures financial sustainability, also and especially for the benefit of future generations.
We Free Democrats are also characterized by the fact that we do not subscribe to the naive misconception that there is ONE solution for all challenges, which conveniently is already known now for all eternity and is also available at no cost. No, we Free Democrats are firmly convinced that human creativity and the spirit of research are inexhaustible and that things that seem too complex or too inefficient to us today may offer completely new solutions in the near future through technical optimizations or new findings.
